Private assessment and treatment of psychiatric conditions
At Nordisk Psykiatri in Copenhagen, in addition to assessment and treatment of ADHD and autism, we offer help with a range of other mental health conditions. These include anxiety, OCD, PTSD, depression and personality difficulties.
We plan your care according to your symptoms and your overall situation. It begins with an initial consultation and may then include psychiatric assessment, psychological treatment and medical treatment. Your care is provided by a psychologist and a doctor working closely with an affiliated psychiatrist. We help adults aged 18 and over, and you do not need a referral.

Contact us→When should you seek help?
Everyone experiences periods of worry, sadness, or restlessness. Seeking help becomes relevant when it does not pass on its own and begins to control your everyday life.
- Symptoms have persisted for several weeks and are not improving.
- You begin avoiding places, people, or tasks to keep discomfort at bay.
- Sleep, concentration, or energy is so impaired that it affects work, studies, or relationships.
- Thoughts or rituals take up more and more time, even though you know they are excessive.
- You have tried managing it yourself – or received help – without sufficient progress.
When multiple factors are connected
Psychological challenges rarely occur in isolation. Anxiety and depression frequently co-occur, and prolonged stress, sleep difficulties, or trauma can amplify both.
In adults, we often find that undiagnosed ADHD or autism underlies years of anxiety, low mood, or chronic exhaustion. If only the most visible symptom is treated, the core problem remains unresolved.
Therefore, we always evaluate the complete clinical picture. Our psychologist and doctor assess together to identify root causes, ensuring treatment targets what is actually driving your difficulties.
How we treat
We select therapeutic methods tailored to your diagnosis and unique situation – combining psychological and medical treatment whenever appropriate.
